Fibre networks are highly durable, and are considered a modern alternative to copper cabling systems, especially as they require less maintenance. However, we offer ongoing support and fault response services if required.

The installation of fibre to the home comes with minimal disruption to residents. For retrofit projects and programmes, work is carefully planned to minimise any inconvenience and property disturbance.

For smoother integration and very minimal disruption, FTTH infrastructure should ideally be installed during the early construction phase of a property. By planning this installation alongside other utilities like power and water, it will avoid the greater cost and inconvenience of retrofitting at a later date.

Yes, the UK is currently working on a full-fibre rollout, with near-total national coverage by 2030. For existing developments to be upgraded to FTTH, additional civil works may be required. A thorough site survey will also help to determine the most efficient upgrade solution.

Contact our team today if you’d like to find out more about upgrading your existing developments.

Our expert team offers an end-to-end delivery service for FTTH, from network design and planning, fibre blowing and splicing, right to the testing and certification, and final property connection.

Our engineers will install termination points inside your home, and connect it to a fibre optic cable from the nearest network point. Then, they will connect up to a new router, and run tests for connection stability, speed performance, and device connectivity.

The time for installation depends on the size of the project. Smaller sites, such as singular residential homes, may take a few hours, while larger projects with multiple premises may take a few weeks.
