Trace successfully delivered the Worden FTTH project for Virgin Media O2 between April 2025 and February 2026, supporting the expansion of ultrafast full fibre connectivity within the region.
The project involved fibre blowing across the network to establish key distribution routes, alongside the installation and management of pre-connectorised distribution points (DPs) to enable efficient customer connections. Trace also completed the build and splicing of Points of Presence (POPs), supporting network aggregation and ensuring reliable backbone connectivity.
Comprehensive spine and distribution fibre splicing works were carried out to maintain network continuity, followed by full testing procedures, including OTDR and iOLM testing, to validate signal integrity and overall network performance.
The project contributed to the successful delivery of connectivity to approximately 4,000 homes passed across Worden, providing a fully integrated and future-ready fibre infrastructure.
The works were delivered efficiently and to a high standard, resulting in a fully installed, tested, and service-ready network.
